BUG |
BUG now works with new formatting. Submitting a BUG now submits it to a website database, which helps to track the different bugs.
Usage: BUG {category};{title};{text} NOTE: There should be no spaces between the category, title and text of the bugs, just the semicolons. Using spaces may result in the bug not being submitted correctly.
{category} must be one of the following: CHARACTER - problems related to your character CREATURE - creatures and NPC problems MAGIC - problems with a spell, sign or symbol COMBAT - combat errors ROOM - problems with a room or area TYPO - mispellings and grammer errors OTHER - problems with things not easily categorized PnC - point and click problems / menu problems STORMFRONT - problems with the StormFront Front End ESCAPE - problems with the eScape Front End WIZARD - problems with the Wizard Front End {title} can be no more than 128 characters in length {text} can be no more than 875 characters You now use the BUG verb to submit TYPOs.

|

Usage: BUGITEM {item};{description of problem} NOTE: There can be no spaces between the item and description of the problem, just a semicolon. Using spaces may result in an incorrect bug report being submitted, which won’t help in getting the bug fixed.
The item you’re targeting needs to be in the same room as you. This will issue an email to play.net’s bug tracking database. Be as detailed as possible, describing what you were doing, the behavior you expected, and the behavior you experienced. You must be in the same room as the item you are targeting. Do not use this mechanism to make suggestions or feature requests for items. Those should be posted to the forums. Players using StormFront can click on an offending item and choose “submit bug report” from its menu. Please note you MUST be in the same room as the object you’re bugging and it cannot be in another player’s inventory. Using BUGITEM to report problems with a specific item is highly recommended when at all possible, as it will submit full details on all of the item’s various settings along with your bug report, to help GMs more accurately reproduce (and thus, fix) the problem. |
|

inadvertently setting one off that you've already checked. The DISARM verb, of course, will still perform both functions as it always has. |
|
DISDAIN |

|
EMPTY |
You can now empty things into other things. Note that most items that do special things for putting stuff away (i.e.: trash barrels) will not work with this verb unless/until they are updated on an individual basis. This should save you the hassle of moving items around and around one by one. The verb will move all items that will fit into the target container into it - it doesn’t stop once it finds one that won’t fit, it keeps checking in case something smaller can fit. You must be holding the container you’re emptying, and the thing you’re putting the items into must either be held by you, worn by you, or lying on the ground. You can only empty INTO things, not on, under, or behind them. Usage is simple: EMPTY <container> INTO <container>
NOTE: Some items will not transfer when using the EMPTY verb, so it is recommended that you check to make sure everything has come out. |
|

GLD |
The existing GLD RANK command has been expanded to
include ALL, ON, and OFF options. Using GLD RANK ALL will display the guild
ranks of every visible person in the same room as you, while GLD RANK ON/OFF
allows you to toggle whether others can see your guild information or not. A new command, GLD ABANDON, has also been added.
This command allows Warrior and Rogue Guild members the one-time
option to abandon any of their current guild ranks. Any ranks given up in
such a fashion will simply disappear, thereby allowing a guild member who has
reached their rank maximum to train (or retrain) in the guild as they see
fit. Please note that this is not a guild rank reallocation option. Any ranks abandoned via this mechanism are gone and cannot be reassigned or traded in for experience. This option is only available to guild members who are at their current guild rank cap. Courtesy of GM Ildran and GM Kitrina, posted 11/22/2004
and 11/23/2004 Guild members may use GLD CHECK IN to pay dues 90
days (3 months) in advance. Each time a guild member asks a Guild Master about
check in, it accounts for one month of dues. It is possible to do this up to
3 times, for a total of 3 months paid in advance. Due to the fact that Guild Masters are expected to
be very involved in the guild, they are not able to pay dues three months in
advance, but are able to refresh their current month. This is an improvement
upon the previous method which only allowed a Guild Master to check in when
the 30 days expired. Guild Masters will only be able gain experience by checking in other Guild Masters every 20 days in an effort to prevent EXP abuse. Guild members may also use GLD to let them know when they need to check in next. |
|

Likewise, if someone recently tried to hold you but your group was closed, you have a thirty second window in which you can join them -- even if their group is closed. |

When guarding, the warrior automatically (if not incapacitated) attempts to block attacks against the target with 50% of his or her normal blocking ability, at the cost of 25% reduction in chances to block attacks directed towards him or herself (i.e. if the warrior normally has a 20% chance to block an attack against themselves, then the warrior would have a 10% chance to block attacks against his or her guarded target and a 15% chance to block attacks against themselves.) based on whether or not the spell is considered offensive (if a spell can’t
be cast in a sanctuary, that’s a good indication that it is offensive), so it
can target you or a creature as appropriate.
If you have a target for offensive spells, INCANTed spells will be
cast at your target. StormFront users may also prepare and cast at the same time using the spell control group of buttons in the Combat Panel. Usage is: INCANT <spell number, name or mnemonic> |

|
SAY ::<target> |
Used to direct speech to a person, creature or object. Note that targeting your speech will result in an inverted sentence structure as shown below. Using tone alone, however, results in the same sentence structure as before.
SAY :<tone> ::<target> MESSAGE. For example, typing the following: SAY :angry ::Kobold You’re a weenie! Will come across: Speaking angrily to a kobold, you exclaim “You’re a weenie!” Please note now that the TONE comes after a single colon, and the target of the speech comes after a double colon. It is also now possible to talk to items in your direct inventory, but not items inside other items.
