River’s Rest Improvements

Trade Shops Open

Adventurers may now purchase a permit and own a shop to sell their possessions in River’s Rest.  Permits and shop furniture may be bought in the warehouse at the center of the shopping district, located one block north, west, then northwest of the Inn.

Surname Registry Available

Adventurers may register or share their surnames in the cottage located west of the Captain’s Quarters.

PRO Meeting Hall

Player Run Organizations may avail themselves of the meeting hall located at Targon’s Square, next door to the Inn.

Citizenship Clerk in the Rest

The citizenship clerk in the Rest is located in the Captain’s Quarters.

Crab Racing Begins

Crab racing, along with other types of races, have opened in River’s Rest.  Finding these races, however, is a closely guarded secret.

River’s Rest NPC Cleric

Saltwater Sal has arrived in River’s Rest to provide services to the dead.  She wanders the town, now wanting to stay in one place.  She is known to exhibit what may be called odd behavior, whether to refuse traditional payment for her services or be squeamish about blood.

River’s Rest Museum Opens

The River’s Rest Museum has opened to the public to display artifacts from every significant period in River’s Rest history, from the Kingdom of Elanith and its decline to its present position as a haven for smugglers and ne’er-do-wells.  The museum permits bards to handle artifacts and reveal their secrets.  Only the main floor is open to the public at the moment, but expansion will take place as more artifacts are discovered and restored.

The museum is located off of Persimmon Lane, one block north, west, then southwest of the inn.

Cartage and Deed Conveyance Clerks Arrive

The cartage and deed conveyance offices have opened, located within the River’s Rest Realty Office, next door to the bank.

Live Bait Discounts and Changed Schedule

Tickets for the Live Bait will now be sold at a discount to citizens.  The ship also sports a set of sails that decrease the likelihood of being detected by the Imperial Navy.  The cutter, however, now operates on a somewhat slower schedule.

Also, a metal fish has been put in place at the cutter’s docking points which, when touched, may tell someone of the cutter’s approximate location.

Rabbit and Aardvark Recognize Citizens

Citizens of River’s Rest may notice that the rabbit and the aardvark will act differently towards them.  The rabbit, in particular, will be more affectionate.
