Icemule Improvements

Katana Quest Comes to Icemule

Characters who wish to own a katana may attempt to prove themselves worthy by embarking on a quest.  If successful, the character will receive their own, unenchanted katana.  Look for the Erithi woman wandering town for clues to get started.

Rats Race Again

The Rat Races Tent has opened after a few years of renovations.  The tent may be found just east of the music shop in the Commerce Burrow Bazaar.

New Food and Drink at Silvermule

Silvermule Gambling Hall has a new bartender in its library, master mixologist Charlevorn.  The menu has also been expanded to include new selections.

Wineberry Stocks New Metals and Weapons

Wineberry’s weapon shop now carries vultite, but not ora.  The shop also stocks a few new weapons, as well as some possible changes to existing stock to conform them to current weapon naming standards.

Music Shop Diversifies Offerings

All types of instruments are now for sale in the Icemule music shop.

Koern the Gnome Peddles Flavored Ices to Icemule

Koern and his snowcone machine wander the streets of Icemule.  ASK him about flavors, or about TOPICS to hear some of his many opinions.  You can ask for a random flavor, or for one that you prefer.  Snow does tend to melt, however, so the snowcones have a short life.

Icemule Town Defenses Open to Citizens, Northern Fury and Guests

Icemule citizens, members of the Northern Fury and their guests are now allowed to enter the city’s defensive structures.  The icy northern wall is up a flight of steps, but the others can be accessed only through the towers next to city gates.  Corner towers can be entered through the alleys that run underneath the walls.

Also, the trails around the city now run in a full circuit, allowing one to move from one gate to another from outside the city, except where the glacier prevents travel.

New Streets and Alleys Opened to Hold Trade Shops and Corner Towers

Eight new alleys have opened in Icemule.  Commerce Burrow holds Barter and Trade, while Brewer’s and Bootlegger’s are in Tavern Burrow.  Temple Burrow has Hope and Fear, and Magical Burrow faces onto Incantation and Enchantment.

These alleys host the player run shops in Icemule except for the alleys in Commerce Burrow, where the Permit Authority is located and trade shop furniture is sold.  The corner towers, open to citizens of Icemule, Northern Fury members and their guests, can be found at the intersections of the alleys in each burrow.

Barter Alley can be entered next to Flashfeet’s Clothiers, while the entrance to Trade is by the Dabbings Mews neighborhood.  Bootlegger’s Alley is accessed on Honeybeer Road, two blocks west of South Gate, and Brewer’s Alley intersects with Pilsner Avenue just north of Wineberry’s Weapons Shop.  The entrance to Hope Alley, leading to Fear Alley, is just north of the Bakery.  Incantation’s entrance is one block north of West Gate while Enchantment Alley can be reached by going one block west of North Gate.

Town Well Now Off-Limits to Trash Throwing

Players can draw well water by using the crank handle.  In the bucket, however, trash can sometimes rise to the surface.  Throwing trash into the well is now discouraged, and may harm a character’s progress toward citizenship.  A barrel has been placed in front of the Thirsty Penguin as a replacement.  Characters may also WISH at the well, as well as LEAN, JUMP, or SIT on it.

Offices Open in Clovertooth Hall for Premium Homes, Surnames and Citizenship

The office in the southwestern corner of Clovertooth Hall is now able to serve for all your premium home needs.  You may also register or share your surname with the clerk, or check your citizenship status with the giantess in her office, both also in Clovertooth Hall.

PRO Meeting Hall

Player Run Organizations may now find the meeting hall located three blocks west of Town Center on West Road.

Cozy Cottage Reopens

The Cozy Cottage on East Road has reopened with new stock and a new seasonal display.  The stock and décor will change with the seasons.

Ye Olde Candle Shoppe stocks new candles and incense.  The shop is now mobile, and can travel to other towns.
