In the Common language, it reads:
Bless the purity of new love with
the scent of gardenia or carnation.
Recall the bittersweet countenance of past loves with rosemary. Affection in its infancy is both sweet and
tender - treat it with the fragrances of strawberry, lilac, and peony. Love is ageless, and its devotion and
admiration is best accented by honeysuckle and sunflower. For fiery untempered love, there is
heather. And, to span all, there is the
rose, which both with its petals and its thorns teaches us much of what it is
to love.

[Town Square, Small Park]
A small, shaded park fills an old
vacant lot behind a row of buildings, the bright lamplight from the square
filtering through the passage to the north to illuminate the area with a soft
glow. A weatherworn grey marble statue

encrusted by the gifts of decades of passing birds and his right hand
half-upraised as if it once held some now-missing object. You also see a shimmering patch of violet mist, a large scorched trash can and
some ornate wrought-iron benches
