~ Sharlatta’s Frippery: Where Every Thread Counts ~
In the Elven language, it reads:
Dear Client,
The designs offered within were crafted with the masked ball in mind, and you will find that the overall style and cut of garments, as well as the fabrics, are true to my cultural roots as an elf. The jewelry and masks were developed under the tutelage of several talented Loenthran craftsmen.
Do be aware that closer inspection is necessary for some attire, though not for all, and pricing is varied. There are no special properties to the finery, as their merit lies solely in aesthetics, though I have sewn pockets into some of the outerwear.
I regret that I will not be here myself; do leave a missive if my staff are rude or unkind in any way. I trust you will enjoy these few days to their full extent, and I hope that you will find something here that is pleasing to your fashion palate.
Warm Regards,
Sharlatta

The importance of precise, accurate translations cannot be counted too highly. Regrettably, many of those who call themselves translators lack either the skill or the ethical distance of viewpoint to render a precise, accurate translation.
As an illustration of this problem, several translations of elven appeals to Lumnis have been provided for your perusal. (The translator will go unnamed for his own protection.) The original Elven is available on the scroll rack, while the Common translations are available on the shelves. These translations are quite popular among native Common speakers who have never learned enough Elven to examine the original, but the various errors speak for themselves. Would you want your scholarship, your trade transactions, or your diplomatic treatises in hands such as those?
Jesylte of Ta'Illistim will be available over the course of the festival to provide a variety of services. She specializes in skillful, accurate translations between many languages, all rendered in a clear and graceful hand. Please avail yourself of this opportunity.
