a slender frosted wine glass

a small wheel-etched tumbler

a heavy frosted glass mug

Glass show: In a graceful spiral trailing from the lip of the glass to the stem, clusters of grapes have been etched into the surface, flanked by frosted leaves.  Along the flat base of the glass, a curved line of script has been engraved.

Tumbler read: Beneath the subtle engraving of a broken wagon wheel, a few words have been engraved into the glass base of the tumbler.

Mug read: A pair of narrow bands have been cut smoothly into the glass near the lip of the mug, while the base flares widely with a matching set of grooves.  The handle is thick and squared on the outer edge, while being indented along the inner surface like a grip.  On both the front and back of the mug is the frosted image of a towering distillery, a lone, broken wagon wheel propped against its side.  Beneath the image, a few words have been engraved.

Tastes

a flute of pale yellow wine (2 sips)

The nutty aroma of toasted almonds catches your attention.

Reminiscent of a lush meadow, the scents of flowers and heather caress your nose.

a flute of honey-hued wine (2 sips)

The mellow taste finishes with a slight, tangy crispness at the back of the mouth.

Trailing across the tongue, it leaves a hint of mellow apricots followed by a clean citrus flavor.

a flute of sparkling blush wine (2 sips)

The taste is charming, with a summery lightness and a touch of sparkle.

Hints of ripe raspberries enliven the dry body of this wine.

a flute of gilt-hued wine (2 sips)

An exquisite floral aroma graces your nose as the sweet, luscious flavor fills your mouth.

Light, sweet, and airy, with a perfume reminiscent of lushly blooming honeysuckle.

a glass of purplish black wine (2 sips)

It is intensely flavored, with a jam-like taste of blackberry.

An earthy hint of truffles balances the rich blackberry flavor.

a glass of dark plum-hued wine (2 sips)

With white pepper, cloves, and blackberry, it is zippy on the tongue.

There are deep, dark berry aromas with moderate spice, entwined with subtle oak.

a glass of sanguine wine (2 sips)

The mocha-laced taste speaks of currants, earth, cedar, and tobacco.

There are vibrant plum notes, with cedar in the mouth and a rich finish.

a glass of reddish brown wine (2 sips)

The wine holds a subtle and lingering oak flavor amid the flat, syrup-like finish.

The full-bodied red wine carries a heavy herbaceous odor amid a distinct sweetness.

The fruity hops and winterberry blend together to make a satisfying brew.

A touch of winterberry adds a pleasant, fresh flavor to the ale.

a mug of honey-colored mead (2 sips)

The sweet taste of honeyed apples fills your mouth.

Despite the cool temperature of the drink, warmth floods through your body as the taste of apples floods your mouth.

a mug of chocolate brown stout (2 sips)

The burnt coffee and dark roasted malt aromas hint at the bitterness to come.

It tastes of dark chocolate and coffee, along with a subtle blackberry flavor.

a stein of golden brown beer (2 sips)

Bitter hops offset the sweet malty character of this beer.

Distinctive hop aromas contrast pleasantly with mildly sweet and yeasty flavors.

a tumbler of buttery rum (2 sips)

The slightly woody flavor of centuries-old casks lends history, as well as weight, to this aged drink.

So smooth it’s almost buttery, this golden liquid melts into fragrant steam at the back of your mouth.

a glass of coppery brandy (2 sips)

An unnaturally tart flavor springs from the fruit pulp before the amber warmth of the alcohol sinks in.

Frosty chill and a tart, citrusy flavor overlie the sumptuous underpinnings of the fine, sensual alcohol.

a tumbler of fiery gold vodka (2 sips)

Rich and golden, this drink still makes you feel as if you have just walked into a door.

Rising fumes sting your eyes, and spicy fermented molasses stings your tongue.

a stemmed glass of green absinthe (2 sips)

The dazzling green color of the absinthe is beautifully paired with a palette of flavorful herbs.  Hints of anise, hyssop, lemon balm, angelica, and wormwood are very prominent in every sip.

The brilliant green hue of the absinthe is like a fine, clear emerald, and the pungent herbal flavor is just as precious.

Self-Contained Cyclical Recurrence Loops

An exceedingly complex magical technique by which an object is granted a multitude of varying appearances.  The appearance of the object can then be manipulated at will, by simple touch.

All you need to know is I can grant a second form to the things in my shop, for a hefty fee.  I’ll also be raffling off a select few services of the same nature for things not from my shop.

All forms of the object must be similar, if you bring me a mithril band, it will continue to be a mithril band of some sort.

Once the magic is sealed, it is highly unlikely that anyone will EVER be able to change either form of the item.

On the long counter you see a miniature haon tree, a miniature woodland meadow, a miniature modwir tree and a miniature mountain scene.

15k, properties unknown, show

a miniature haon tree in a blue porcelain dish

a miniature woodland meadow in a carved wooden box (scripted)

a miniature modwir tree in a orange clay pot

a miniature mountain scene in a jeweled box (scripted)

Haon tree show: You see a single miniature haon tree in miniature perfection.  The soft greyish purple bole is almost two hands around, straight and thick.  It continues to a wide, lushly spreading canopy of elliptical almost luminous leaves.  The miniature haon tree stands in its heavy stone bowl exuding timeless and solitary quiet.  Exposed roots twine and hold the mossy soil, reaching out to the same circumference as its rounded canopy.  Dark green, velvety moss covers the surrounding soil.

Woodland meadow show: Inside the container rests a perfect miniature woodland meadow.  A grove of miniature aspen and alder trees overhangs the wildflower flecked verge of a crystal clear woodland pond.  A steeply banked stream meanders through the miniature woods and falls with a delicate chuckle over flat mossy stones into the crystal pond.  Small gold and orange fish dart and feed in the translucent depths of the crystal clear pond.

Modwir tree show: You see the perpendicular shape of a miniature modwir tree.  An air of stillness surrounds this tiny tree.  The grey scales in the bark and deep vertical grooves of white sap seeping into a thick bole give the tree an appearance of age.  The branches whorl around the thick trunk and arch upward into a canopy of fine fuzzy needles. Long green pinecones hang in the pale foliage.  Heavy green moss covers the base of the tree and overgrows the edges of the pottery dish.

Mountain scene show: Cupped in the shallow confines of its container lies a perfect miniature mountain scene.  Carefully chosen rocks have been placed together to resemble a sharply jagged mountain range.  A primeval forest of spiky ephlox moss marches down the steep rubble slopes of these miniature mountains.  On the pebbled skirts of the mountains stands a tiny shrine of rough grey stone.

Reported meadow scripts

Exhale: You blow gently on your woodland meadow and the grove of miniature aspen and alder bends slightly as if caressed by a summer breeze.  Ripples chase each other across the previously still surface of the crystal pond.

Tap: Gently you tap your woodland meadow and the miniature aspen and alder shiver slightly.  The tiny gold and orange fish in the crystal pond dart and leap in apparent terror.

Turn: Carefully you turn your woodland meadow, wiping away small flecks of dust and reorienting the position for best viewing.

Reported mountain scene scripts

Exhale: You blow gently on your mountain scene and the ephlox moss forest sways and bends as if in a great wind.  From within the solitary stone shrine comes the tinkling peel of a tiny bell.

Tap: You tap your mountain scene and the ephlox moss forest shivers as if shaken by a sudden clap of thunder.  From within the grey stone shrine comes the wild tinkling of a tiny bell.

Turn: Carefully you turn your mountain scene, wiping away small flecks of dust and reorienting the position for best viewing.

In the Common language, it reads:

@@ Welcome to the Write Stop @@

Upon the counter is what is known as “whisper paper.”

WHISPER to the paper to record a message.

Fives uses per sheet!  And remember...

                         NO SWEARING!

To use whispering papers:

Teekhum says, “So, with this, you can WHISPER to the paper to leave a message for others.  It has five uses.”

Teekhum whispers to his vellum and flames erupt from the center of it.  The flame dies as suddenly as it started and the vellum returns to its calm state.

Teekhum says, “It will have your message there, and sign it with today’s date.”

Teekhum says, “Once the charges are gone, the paper will be no more.”

Teekhum says, “You can also...”

Teekhum idly creases his vellum.

Teekhum says, “Fold it.”

Teekhum says, “Or open it back up.”

Teekhum opens his folded vellum.

Teekhum asks, “And if you no longer wish to keep it, or if your message must never be seen by anyone else?”

Teekhum says, “Fold it again.”

Teekhum idly creases his vellum.

Teekhum exclaims, “And tear it!”

Teekhum grasps his vellum and creates a small tear in the edge.  Quickly, the tear grows, turning the vellum into some confetti.

Teekhum taps a handful of confetti, which is in his right hand.

Teekhum says, “You can throw this stuff too.”

Teekhum throws a handful of confetti up into the air, and it floats down in a cloud all over the area!
