Permanent Events and Games from the Event Announcement
The village of Velathae offers numerous delights and wonders that will surely entertain visitors for hours. Several hosted games by one of the local ghostly residents will happen throughout the entire weekly event. Further, there are recent rumors on the wind of something forbidding happening throughout the village. Be sure to keep an eye out!
Orchard Games
The games in the orchard are varied and numerous as the apples that grow on the trees. Visitors beware, however, as the spirits of the orchard are a feisty bunch and are unpredictable. Bodily harm may occur.
Villa Macellarius
The old Villa Macellarius has been reported to have odd occurrences happening to it since the manifestation of the village. Visitors can explore the villa, but are cautioned to stay alert.
Winter Wren Estates
The wealthy inhabitants of Winter Wren Estates have not been heard from since the devastation to the village, however the ghostly residents of Velathae have talked about strange sightings within the community. Take a wander past the estates, and knock on a door or two--you may get an answer.
The Great Barrow
Entrance into the great barrow under Tower Hill was expressly prohibited during the living years of the village. However, since the recent manifestation, the seals that blocked off entrance into the great barrow have gone missing. The local ghostly officials have stated that visitors may explore the insides of the barrow, but they will not be held accountable for anything that may happen to those that stray inside.
Jousting
Set aside from the orchard, the old farmer’s field is now host to a spectacular supernatural event--ghost jousting. Ride on an enchanted, ghostly horse against your foe and unseat them to find glory!

>ask Bairin about
knives
Bairin sighs heavily, “You know, these knives were once the sharpest in town. I stil try and keep them as sharp as possible, but time does take its toll on steel.”
>ask Bairin about
butchery
Bairin sighs heavily, “I was a butcher for so many years, I don’t know what to say. I’m great with knives, cutting up meat for my customers for years. You won’t find a more skilled knife handler, even among those so-called surgeons.”
>ask Bairin about
scar (after asking about butchery)
Bairin grins broadly at you, “You know, you’re not the first person to ask me that, and won’t be the last. These knives can definitely put a nice scar across that face of yours. It’ll look like you actually did kill that troll king, not the other way around. Just ask me about the LOCATION you want that scar, and the SEVERITY of the wound. Of course, it won’t come free, I’ve got to cover the risks of the constable catching me. Just ask FOR a scar, when you’re ready.”
>ask Bairin about
location
Bairin looks you over then begins, “I’m pretty sure I could mangle up most of that pretty face of yours. Your CHIN, that crooked NOSE, LEFT or RIGHT CHEEK, LEFT or RIGHT EYEBROW. I think even that UPPER or LOWER LIP. That’s most of ya, I think.”
>ask Bairin about
severity
Bairin looks you over then begins, “I can put a LIGHT scar on you, a DEEP scar, make it a LONG scar, or a SHORT one. I can even make it JAGGED if you’d like.”

a pewter apple tree miniature

Ruic-based snowglobe show: The clear bubble contains a detailed scene in miniature. A river branches and then flows back together again, creating a small island, with small stone bridges spanning the river on both sides of the islet. A prosperous-looking inn stands in the middle, with a uniformed dwarf at the door. Near the inn is a tower of grey and white marble that stands quite tall within the bubble world, encircled by a winding stair. Tiny dwarves throng the area.
Modwir-based snowglobe show: The clear bubble contains a detailed scene in miniature. Tiny halflings dressed in varying fashions stand about, appearing to be engaged in lively conversation, while others recline on cloaks laid on the ground. One ancient halfling leans against the base of a large ice statue of a mule, taking a nap. A halfling abbess and a halfling wizard stand at the edge of a small crowd gathered around an injured giantman.
Maoral-based snowglobe show: The clear bubble contains a detailed forest scene in miniature. At the forest’s edge is a small clearing with a pool of water, fed by a tiny stream. Near the pool, two stone pillars mark the entrance to a peaceful sanctuary. A small shrine containing an altar is lovingly carved out of silvery haon. A small group of tiny people take their rest, while a miniature cleric kneels in meditation.
Yew-based snowglobe show: The clear bubble contains a detailed scene of a grand plaza in miniature. The plaza is paved with a spiral pattern of alternating terra-cotta and golden-yellow bricks. On one edge of the plaza stands an ornate, white arch, and beyond it is a brick-paved avenue of elaborate temples, stretching to a towering city wall. A steady mix of tiny merchants, artisans, and clerics pass through the arch in both directions.
Oak-based snowglobe show: The clear bubble contains a detailed scene of a town square in miniature. Bazaar shops surround the square, and throngs of tiny people of all races mill about, many of them adventurers by their looks. At one end of the square is the town well, with a giant oak tree towering over it. Partially hidden among its branches is a tree house platform. Stone benches scattered around the square provide a place for the townspeople to rest, and some of them appear to be healing the wounded.

Bordered miniature oil painting show: A low granite boulder stands in the forefront of the picture, its surface covered with the blackened lines of old carvings. In the distance, a black obelisk thrusts up against the sky beside the bulk of a great circular tower, and a worn track spirals towards a dazzling sun-dappled cliff face.
Detailed miniature oil painting show: A produce cart piled high with a variety of fruits and vegetables stands in front of a large, black iron gate. A hawker stands to the side, offering a sparkling red apple to a small child. Behind the gate lie a number of respectable buildings, each with its own meticulously tended lawn.
Colorful miniature oil painting show: Down the middle of this picture winds a smoothly paved stone road with a large meadow to the right of it. Behind the meadow stand a number of brick and wood homes. To the left of the road, several barrels of apples line a neat white fence that stretches into the distance.

I’ve got a friend who wants to move them back to the land of the living, so I’m doing her a favor and selling them. I don’t take sp’siffic orders, so don’t ask me for some special favorite, but if you want to buy an instrument, just ASK me about BUYING.”
>ask ghost about
buying
“Fifty thousand silver, no discounts or refunds,” the dwarven ghost recites briskly. “No guarantees on what you get, either, I’m not going to grope around so you can get some special ding-a-ling for your lovie-pie. They’re relics of the past, and it’s not my fault if someone shows up tryin to track yours down. I’m just doing a favor for a friend. If you really want one, ask me again, or ask about bulk if you’re too busy to be buying one at a time.”
>ask ghost about magic
“My friend told me that some of these here cornets and crumhorns and such are magic,” the dwarven ghost says. “Guess you tell by what it’s made out of-- if it’s mithril or rowan or suchlike, it’ll be magic. I don’t take special orders, though. You get what you get if you want to buy an instrument.”

Those who have so indicated will receive services first.
My services include cosmetic alterations to your belongings and alterations to your physical being or ectoplasmic self. The former require that the alteration reflect your religious preference, while the latter may be of any nature.

a silver reliquary pendant
a gold reliquary pendant
a copper monstrance pendant
Cup show: The small vessel has a short, round well and two accompanying grips. The handles, little more than flanges, are cast from a rough metal into the approximation of tongues of flame.
Silvery reliquary pendant show: The small pendant is cast from silver, though its surface has tarnished largely to black. Its shape is that of a drake and it is entirely metal, save for a bubble of crystal on its back. Underneath the clear dome are inlaid two teardrop shaped pieces of scarlet despanal, bright and red as freshly let blood.
Gold reliquary pendant: The small pendant is comprised of a single sheet of gold, pressed between two slightly domed pieces of clear crystal. Marked into the surface of the golden tablet is an engraving of two people. The first figure is a woman, her hand raised in blessing, while kneeling before her is a man, his head bowed. Around the image are inset tiny chips of greenish-red bloodstone.
Copper monstrance pendant show: The small copper disk is capped with a blister of crystal, clear save for a few veins of some metallic black mineral. Underneath the dome is a sliver of bone, resting on the bed of copper and held fast with three sharp prongs.
In the copper basket you see a twisted black steel wire symbol, a beaten black steel disk talisman, a round silver nacre talisman, a silver-strung portraiture talisman, a black wire emblem, a glossy black enameled talisman and a crude pewter flame emblem.

Black steel disk talisman show: Tiny dings and strikes have beaten flat the surface of the disk-shaped talisman. A ring of tumbled firestones encircle its edges, smaller versions of a large, centrally set blackish red firestone.
Silver nacre talisman show: Layers of silver shell are laid down over one another in concentric rings. The circles build and build to a central point, where the talisman is set with a triad of black, grey and fire pearls.
Portraiture talisman show: A thin silver chain suspends a miniature gesso and oil portrait. The painting’s subject is a woman, crowned in flames and robed in crimson. In one of her pale hands is a silver orb, while in the other is a black diamond-capped sceptre. Silver plating frames the image and covers its back.
Black enameled talisman show: The smooth black surface of the talisman overlays a core of dark silver, revealed through a series of deeply incised marks and cuts. The lines, some thin, some thick, form the shape of a stylized lick of flame.
Pewter flame emblem show: The pewter emblem is flat and slightly soft around its edges. It hangs from a simple black leather thong.
