Lockpicking System
Changes
DETECT Verb to Check for
Traps
You can now attempt to DETECT traps on boxes and
such, instead of DISARMing them. The DETECT verb will only search for
traps, not attempt to actually disarm one, so fewer worries about inadvertently
setting one off that you've already checked.
The DISARM verb, of course, will still perform both functions as it always has.
SENSE the Conditions
Around You
Rogues can sense their surroundings to get an idea of the lighting conditions and environmental factors that might affect pickpocketing or lockpicking attempts. Inexperienced rogues may be caught sensing, however.

Lockpicking Looks For Lockpicks

A modification to the PICKLOCK verb has been made to allow picking locks without specifying the lockpick to use. If no lockpick is specified, the system will check your right hand for a lockpick, followed by your left hand. Specifying the lockpick or using WITH LEFT or WITH RIGHT will still work as they did previously.
